We are now located at 91 Oxford Street, Bondi Junction NSW 2022 91 Oxford Street is at the city end of the Junction on the block between Denison and Newland Streets. Our Neighbours are the Zip Link Computer store and the Honeysuckle Garden Nursery. DRIVING: If you are driving from the city simply take the York Street Exit at Centennial Park and follow the dog leg to Oxford Street (past the Bus Depot) - we will be on your right on the last block before the mall. PARKING: Metered Parking is available on all surrounding streets – please put money in the meters because they will get you! There are also parking stations at the Waverly Library (entrance is on Ebley Street), Eastgate Shopping Centre (entrance on Newland or Ebley Streets), Westfield Shopping Centre and a free 2 hour public car park at the train station (Grafton Street). PUBLIC TRANSPORT: There are both buses and trains running regularly from the city and the beach. We are just a short walk from both – If you are coming by bus from the city follow the driving directions, if you are coming by train from the city or bus from the beach, we are just a minutes’ walk up Oxford Street towards the city, on your left. Our change rooms close 30 minutes prior to the store closing (1 hour on Monday). NO costumes are available to be viewed or tried on after this time. It usually takes between 30 – 45 mins to style a costume together so please allow for this when deciding the best time for you to come in. MONDAY 10 – 6 – (Change rooms close at 5 as Returns must receive priority over new hires) TUESDAY 10-6 WEDNESDAY 10-6 THURSDAY 10-8 FRIDAY 10-6 SATURDAY 10-4 SUNDAY CLOSED (for much needed sleep!)
The hire period is 1 – 3 days. Any pre booked costumes can be picked up Friday or Saturday and need to be returned Monday. The day and time of your function will determine the pickup and due dates and these are clearly outlined on your Hire Agreement. If you need to pick it up earlier you can do so for a small additional fee. We also offer a 7 day hire period at a discounted rate and are happy to negotiate this to suit your personal needs. We only book costumes up to 1 month in advance so if you are getting in early keep in mind that things change here daily and that it is best to come in somewhere between 3 weeks and 1 hour before your party or function. If you have left it to the last minute – never fear – we can solve any last minute costuming dilemmas. Although it is obviously a case of First in, Best dressed.
Adult costumes range from $25 to $129 per hire. We have a range of Choose Your Own Adventure Packages that suit most needs. Beginning with our Do It Yourself Tour (accessories only) and ending with our Extreme Adventure Package which includes your costume and all the extras (jewellery, hats, wigs, shoes and props).This means it is up to you how much you spend. We have a limited range of Children’s costumes (up to 7 years) available to purchase as well as children’s costumes available to hire. We can always utilise the smaller sizes of the adult collection for children of all ages so for children under the age of 14 hires start from $25. You will require current Photo ID and a Security Deposit to complete your hire. You can pay by Cash, EFTPOS, MasterCard or Visa (processing fees apply). We DO NOT have AMEX facilities. All costumes require a Security deposit, which can be left in cash, as a credit card imprint (this is destroyed upon the return of your goods) or we accept VISA DEBIT cards for payment and for your security deposit imprint, however due to the nature of these accounts we require a pre authorisation which will hold the funds until your hired goods are returned or any damage has been assessed and rectified. A $30 booking fee is required to hold a costume, which is deducted from your hire costs when collected (this is non refundable and non transferable and ensures your chosen costume for your event). LATE FEES will be charged for any Hires not returned on their due date. The fee is $20 per costume per day to a maximum of 5 days. After this time you will pay the late fees and normal Hire Charges will apply for a period of up to 3 days. After this time the full replacement costs will be charged. This is not negotiable. Hires being returned late effects not only our post hire procedures, but also unfair on the customers that may be waiting to view or have booked the same items. Please be considerate of others.
We offer discounted prices for school activities and for pre organized private or corporate functions. We do offer discounts for groups of 6 or more people going to the same event. Please email us your details a minimum of 7 days prior to obtain your group discount reference number. All discounts must be organized and approved through our head office. If you would like to discuss ongoing hire agreements or trade discounts please e-mail us the details of your event or company and as much information as you can regarding your requirements and we will have someone contact you as soon as possible to set up an account for you. We cannot invoice for later payment and as stated above DO NOT currently accept Amex.
COSTUMES: We pride ourselves on our garments being clean and in good repair. We guarantee the best quality! We have procedures in place that ensure all items are checked as they leave and as they are returned. All articles of clothing are then either professionally dry cleaned, hand washed or treated before being pressed and returned to the collection. WIGS: All wigs are soaked in disinfectant, shampooed, conditioned and sanitized. After being left to dry they are individually styled and set. We also have additional measures in store to ensure your comfort and confidence. ACCESSORIES: Shoes are deodorized and polished. As with our wigs we have additional accessories in store to ensure your comfort and confidence. Accessories are cleaned by hand. Hats are steamed or washed and then sanitised.
Yes and No. We do offer a pre paid courier service but unfortunately we do not have an afterhours drop off. There are several reasons why but the main being that you are responsible for your costume until it is safely returned and there is no way for us to secure a return shoot. We also prefer to unpack the hired goods in front of you to avoid any indiscretions regarding cleaning or missing items. Most customers also prefer to see their credit card imprint being destroyed or have their cash deposits returned in person. PRE PAID COURIER: We do offer a Pre Paid Return Courier Service. Please discuss this option with staff at the time of hire for full details.
